The Brewers Brass have decided to honor former Brewers with a Wall of Honor. Plaques of honorees will fill the wall that will be adjacent to the Hot Corner outside of Miller Park.
According to Rick Schlesinger the Brewers Cheif Operating Officer “The Wall of Honor is designed to honor the many indiviudals who either spent a significant portion of their career with the Brewers or have a significant legacy with the organization through various achievements.”

The list is impressive, and the ceremony on June 13th should be awesome! Both former Brewers that are being honored, or their representatives (if they are deceased) will be attendance.
I can’t wait!
BUT… if you ask me there is a signifcant player in the history of the club that the Brewers missed, probably because he didn’t meet the requirements above. If you look back at what he accomplished, there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that his time in Milwaukee was integral to the history and legacy of the club, and ABSOLUTELY worthy of a plaque.
I’ll reveal the Brewer, his accomplishment, and the argument for why he should have a plaque the wall in my next post.
See if you can figure it out…
I see at least a dozen Brewers on that list that are very questionable. The standards should have been raised to get on The Wall of Honor.
