That might just be what happen to University of Florida head coach Wil Muschamp if he doesn’t get fired, and get out of Gainesville.
The Gators for the first time EVER lost to FCS school… Georgia Southern. The embarrassing loss came Saturday (11-23-13) at the Swamp 26-20. Georgia Southern didn’t complete a pass, and the Gators were caught BLOCKING each other. A loss that cemented that fact that the Gators will be home for the holidays, they are NOT bowl eligible, the first time 1990. The loss also drove their record to 4-7 which will become the schools first losing season since 1979.
Head Coach Wil Muschamp the former Texas Defensive Coordinator who replaced Urban Meyer, and is in his 3 year at Florida. Despite his 11-2 record last season, and a Sugar Bowl appearance against Louisville (which the Gators lost) the program is 22-15. Career loss number 16 is more than likely when the state’s “steam roller,” FSU comes to town Saturday for the season finally.
Florida has now lost six consecutive games, Muschamp is just 3-3 at home this season, and 1-4 on the road. Enough is enough, I’m not even a Gator fan, but it’s evident that this proud southern SEC team is not going in the right direction. Muschamp needs to go.
