The year was 1977, Abba’s “Dancing Queen” was at the top of the pop charts, Match Game was again the #1 Game Show on Television, and a gallon of gas was a whopping .65 cents a gallon.
In April 1977 the New York Yankees started the season at 2-8, and promptly went on to win their next 6 in a row to get back to .500.
Tonight (4-20-13) the Brewers became only the 2nd team in Major League history to accomplish that same feat. After starting 2-8, the Brewers strung together wins in the next six games, included tonight’s drubbing of the Chicago Cubs 5-1 at Miller Park.
Anyone remember how the Yankees ended up in ’77? World Champions!

Now the Brewers are 9-8 and made a new record. That’s what playing the Cubs will do for you……SWEEP!
